Vitamins For Glowing Skin

Vitamins for Beautiful, Youthful, Glowing Skin

Glowing.  Radiant.  Luminous.

Wish I was talking about your skin?  Read on! It can be.

I also have those “friends” who live on fried foods and chocolate but have inherited the most gorgeous glowing skin ever.  Please rest assured *loud sigh* I am NOT one of those people I have to work at it. Even if it’s not in your genetics there is still hope. So why not try to look the best you can.

It still shocks me every time someone compliments my skin, huh, what, me…

You can glow (maybe not as good as the airbrushed models in magazines remember this is reality…) but try  applying the right vitamins.  All you need to do is make a bit of an effort, glow on girl.

Notice that I say ‘effort’ and not ‘work’ because if ever there was something easy to do, it’s to keep your skin young, fresh, and under control.  Start with taking a good daily multivitamin geared towards your skin, drink plenty of water, and use special topical vitamins as follows:

Vitamin A – This crucial vitamin can practically work miracles by fading brown spots, smoothing roughness and unevenness of skin, and also to help reduce (and prevent!) wrinkles.  Check out products that say ‘retinoids’ on their ingredients to get the benefits of A.  Apply it before you finally wander into bed so that your skin has plenty of time to absorb the nutrient be aware it will make your skin more sensitive to sunlight so don’t forget your sunscreen.  Don’t expect it to go faster by applying more; too much of this good thing can leave your face irritated and red.  Keep a product with both Vitamin A and Vitamin K on your nightstand to do double duty since it will also help the delicate areas around your eyes.

Vitamin B3 – Creams, serums, and lotions with B3 will allow you to put your best face forward by reducing redness and boosting hydration.  Vitamin B3 serves as your ‘secret’ for continuing to look gorgeous after staying out all night or drinking alcohol, which saps your body’s moisture.  When choosing a moisturizer or lotion to use, look for one with Vitamin B3 (or niacinamide) labeled on the bottle, and apply Vitamin B3 at both morning and night.

Vitamin C – Vitamin C keeps you healthy and can also keep you beautiful.  After cleansing and toning, applying C can prevent you from turning into your mother just yet.  Helping with brown spots, sagging, wrinkling and other signs of aging, C also blocks out dreaded free radicals and keeps your face fresh!

Vitamin E – Best used before and after too much sun, this vitamin is crucial for protecting your skin from damages of the outdoors and by replenishing moisture.  Sunscreens with both vitamins C and E are a good bet, getting the best bang for your buck.

Beauty comes from within (we all know that) but it’s awfully nice when it’s written all over our faces, too.
